It is like he is hung-over, even though he didn't have anything to drink the night before. He is just still tired. Unfocused. And thirsty.

But he is able to sit slightly, leaning up against the bottom of the couch for support.

"It was two when I stop painting..." That is at least five hours that he was on the floor.
