The harm in telling Verity part of a story is that she'll want the rest. (It's a mouse and cookie situation.) The fact the part he's telling doesn't make sense to her doesn't help. And considering where she's from--or maybe because of it--being confused by science is not a good thing in her book. It almost always means someone was doing something they shouldn't and 'accidentally' endangering everything.

So she's not going to ask. Not tonight.

"C'mon then, get together." She motions for them to get closer and pulls out her phone while they pose themselves. "Say 'cheese'."
