Hunter has received a few phone calls after completing his memorial to Kendra, and getting the opportunity to display the artwork in his dimension. His goal of finding the other people who might have had Kendra affect their lives had been successful. And now he is ready to go speak to them personally.

But first, he didn't want to go alone. And at the same time, he didn't want those he was meeting to know that he didn't trust them. So he called Faris to join him in the adventure. Hopefully he would be able to put more of Kendra's memory to peace by doing this.

[Hmm, nothing else specific comes to mind immediately. I have some small ideas for later threads but they will require a lot more brainstorming first. And I do sort of want to do a thread with Jim being sick after the super-inoculation thing that Samus wants him to get, but I need to talk with the mun about whether we're playing that part out or not first.

For drag thread are we doing a round robin w/Verity then?]

It would be a round robin. Likely a slow-moving thread too.

But doesn't mean we can't do something else for other muns in the meantime]

[I am okay with it being slow-moving. I have seen that Verity's mun has not been posting frequently lately which is okay. I assume there are RL reasons, which always come first.

We can get started on that and come up with something else in the meantime. :) One thing I have been contemplating lately is whether to have Jim experience his first LOL, and if so, what I should do to him.]

He really does. So many options... lol. I am almost regretting using canon!Jim instead of the one from my X-Men crossover fic series because he'd have his powers back by now if I had. ;) Ah well.

Of course, if he gets LOLed from food, he's going to end up really paranoid about food in general for a while, which is some good potential angst.]

[In Hunter's Nexus thread, where he first activated his magical abilities, he had invited Verity to the Drag date. I have not extended the invite OOC yet]

That would definitely be angsty. I get the feeling that most general LOLs, Jim would take with good nature. So having something that makes him think twice would be good for character development]

[Ah, guess I missed that because of the slow updates. I will have to go back and read it. :)

Hmm, I guess it also depends on what exactly it does to him. If it's something harmless, like turning his hair green or something, he won't mind so much. Something that interferes with being able to do his duty (like when Clark was LOLed to only speak Kryptonian) or anything like that would definitely have an impact on his attitude towards things.]

[So I have two thoughts currently. First is the good old standby 'person is turned into animal' LOL and I'm fairly certain that Jim would be a golden retriever, because of course he would be. Second idea is that he's compelled to say all of his thoughts out loud, regardless of how appropriate his commentary is or how private his thoughts are. Kind of like being under a truth serum. I am still brainstorming but this is what I have so far. Thoughts?]

If Jim is saying his inner thoughts, it is rather likely that he's going to eventually go into some unpleasant topics, including things he's been trying to keep secret, namely the fact that he died during the Khan incident, and that he survived the Tarsus IV massacre and famine as a kid. I'm okay with Hunter knowing this even though Jim would be bothered by it, but I don't want to do anything you are not okay with, and it's probably going to be angst and drama.]

[Most of the truths will be something Hunter already suspects. It is a good thing there are no hidden thoughts about their relationship that Jim is hiding. There is that...]

[Depending on how much of an impact you want it to have, it could have been in a case of Nexus food that other members of the crew received.]

[Hmm... if Jim brought back something that affected the crew, he'd be pretty horrified regardless of how harmless the effect. Maybe he's taste-testing things before deciding to buy more, so he's the only one affected. And since he'd already be in the Nexus, he'd be more likely to seek out Hunter's place to seek help.]

[Working on an intro post but all the big fireworks shaking my house are making it hard to concentrate, lol. Big show happening about a mile away on the other side of the lake. Will get post up as soon as I can finish it.]

[Happy Fourth of July! The firework display for Canada Day is never that large or extensive. My cats freaked out at hearing it though. LOL]

[Haha I have no idea why my town celebrates our Independence Day on Canada Day. ;) Maybe they figure as Michiganders we're close enough? I wish we were Canada...
