Avast! Prepare Ye to Watch Some Movies ((Jim))

Tonight, Hunter has his apartment decorated with a pirate theme. He had invited Jim over for a movie-watching marathon, so they could watch the four of five Pirates of the Caribbean movies that Hunter owns.

And in addition to having some pirate decorations hanging around the living room, Hunter is dressed in a pirate costume. He also has some special treats prepared for the movie night, which includes caramel popcorn, salt and vinegar chips, pretzels, peanuts and a few chilled beers.

Everything is ready for Jim to show up, so they can start the movie night.

Of course, now that Hunter's mentioned it and Jim is thinking about it, he can't help but draw another parallel to his own life experiences. "I sort of see where they were coming from. Not the religion part of it, but... that sort of thing's like Pandora's Box."

"I am sort of glad I never had to deal with a mystical, life-changing, object of power like either of those."

[boldygoing]

Jim decides not to bring attention to the fact that they both have, in a way, dealt with such a thing. Not magic, of course, but if not for the all but miraculous healing power of the serum that McCoy made from Khan's blood, Jim wouldn't be here now. It's something neither of them probably want to think about much.

"It's more trouble than it's worth," he agrees instead.

Hunter moves closer to Jim, so he can place his arms onto the other man's hips. "I can book us tickets for the new movie, if you would like. For later this week?"

[boldygoing]

"Does it lock us in to a specific time?" Jim asks, uncertain how movie theaters work in the twenty-first century. "My schedule might change without notice."

[losthunter]

"I will plan around your schedule." Hunter is not worried about missing the movie.

[sorry for the slow posting, sick grandma issue.]

"All right then." He hasn't been to see a movie in any kind of theater for many years, and definitely not a twenty-first century one. Jim raises his eyebrows at Hunter. "Does that mean costumes again?"


[No worries. :( Hope she feels better.]

[losthunter]

"Most people in my universe only go in costume on opening night. And we missed that..." Hunter runs his fingertips against the fabric of Jim's pirate shirt. "But you can wear this for me anytime."

[Me too. She has been struggling to breathe recently. Pretty scary]

[boldygoing]

That gets a smile out of him. "I'll keep that in mind." He's not sure it's going to be his thing, but Jim has done many things just to make his bed partners happy.


[If something comes up and you have to go, I will understand.]

[losthunter]

Hunter is glad to see Jim smiling. "Of course... what I appreciate the most is the man under the clothes. You would be sexy in a potato sack."

[Appreciate that. She was looking better tonight. But she has been weak lately. Just glad I am here for my mother at this time]

[boldygoing]

"That's weirdly specific," Jim says, lightly teasing. "That's not one of your recurring fantasies, I hope."

[losthunter]

"Just an old saying..." Hunter chuckles in return.

"But you do star in most of my fantasies."

[boldygoing]

"I'm not surprised." It's flattering to hear, though. "You'll have to tell me about them sometime."

[losthunter]

"What would you like to know?" Hunter asks softly.

[boldygoing]

It's sweet sometimes how gentle Hunter is about intimacy. Jim hasn't had many partners in the past who fell on the more tender part of the spectrum, and it's endearing. "Any favorites? Any dreams I can make come true?"

[losthunter]

"I am going to be sappy here for a moment... but you already make my dreams come true." Hunter leans forward to kiss Jim lightly.

"And I do enjoy everything that we already do."

Hunter takes a moment, and reminds himself that he doesn't have to be shy or hesitant about discussing sexuality with Jim.

"I have been curious about having multiple partners in the bedroom."

[boldygoing]

Jim, of course, doesn't bat an eye at such a normal thing. "Just in general, or did you have specific someones in mind?"

[losthunter]

"Something that I was curious about for a while. But recently, when my mind strays that way... one of those partners is you." Because it would be something new for Hunter. And he trusts Jim to support him, no matter what.

[boldygoing]

His trust is not misplaced. Jim wonders if it's because of their already-existing relationship, or whether Hunter is hesitant to try without someone there who's already experienced in regards to this. Not like it matters. "I'd be down for that."

[losthunter]

Hunter is glad to have someone like Jim in his life. Someone who supports him. And is open-minded (compared to the standard that Hunter is familiar with).

"And you? Any dreams that I can make true?"

[boldygoing]

The captain just smiles a little, leaning in to steal a kiss. "If there ever are, I'll let you know."
